ENROLL AN ACCESS POINT
Select a router from the Backup Access Point bin. On the LAN, change the router’s channels to the channels as needed. Confirm that the network password is correct.
After router has been placed at the new location, verify that it can connect to the system and is working correctly.
Edit encrypted thumb drive and backup encrypted thumb drive to show the router’s access point name and move to the router to the Access Point section.
Record router information on the backup node list thumb drive.
Open the server.
Add the router to the router_hosts file.
For a router flashed from vendor firmware, edit Nagios to create a new router entry and configure. For a reflashed router, uncomment the router entry and reconfigure the SNMP key.
Open Ansible. Edit Ansible hosts to add the access point.
Edit the router’s host_vars file to show the access point host, correct channels, access router type and if it’s a primary router.
Open the backup server.
Start Nagios.
For a router flashed from vendor firmware, edit Nagios to create a new router entry and configure. For a reflashed router, uncomment the router entry and reconfigure the SNMP key.
Stop Nagios.
